‘I felt sick every time I heard the Strictly theme tune’: Humiliated Camilla Dallerup needed hypnosis to get over Brendan Cole’s rumoured affair with Natasha Kaplinsky

It became one of the most famous television hook ups of all time – when Brendan Cole and Natasha Kaplinsky were rumoured to have danced their way to romance off-screen.
But the claims left Brendan’s then-fiancée Camilla Dallerup so devastated that she required hypnosis and life coaching to get over the alleged betrayal.
Camilla admitted that after seeing Natasha and Brendan sneak a kiss behind the curtain during one show, she was left so humiliated that she felt sick every time she heard the famous Strictly Come Dancing theme tune.

She told the Daily Mirror: ‘I honestly wouldn’t wish that time on my worst enemy. I was in such turmoil. We were lovers and we worked together. It had been us against the world.’
Following her devastating split from Brendan after eight years together, Camilla had regular sessions with a therapist to help her move on from the heartbreak.

However, Camilla, who is now happily married to former Hollyoaks actor Kevin Sacre, added that she doesn’t ‘blame’ Brendan, and has now reached the point where she can talk to him again.

Despite the affair claims, Natasha has always maintained that she was never romanced by Brendan.

She said: ‘There was chemistry, of course, and I certainly fell in love with dancing, but I did not fall in love with Brendan.
‘I might be a lot of things, but I’m certainly not a man-eater.’

While Camilla is now married to Kevin, Brendan and wife Zoe welcomed their first child together, a daughter called Aurelia, on Christmas Day.
Natasha, meanwhile, has two children with her husband, Justin Bower.
